Thanks Mrs. Foshee's Class, First Adopt-A-Spot Participants

Thanks to Mrs. Foshee's class for being the first group to Adopt-A-Spot for the King EAST Garden located near the fence on the playground. Ms. Ivy, King Parent and Gardener, is assisting students in Mrs. Cagle's class in getting garden activities started for this year. Here are details about the garden linked here: http://eastatking.blogspot.com/2011/05/adopt-garden-spot.html. We are looking for other groups to adopt a bed as well. Also, we are in need of the donation of time (students and adult partners) and materials including:

Outdoor Paint
EAST Team Painting
Partner Painting
EAST Team Flyer/Contract Design
Partner Clean-up
EAST Team Clean-up
EAST Team Maintenance

Please submit your ideas and comments. If you are interested in adopting please leave a comment (Want to Adopt-A-Spot & Name). Type your comments in the comment box and select anonymous (list name). Students should list first name only and teacher under their comments.

Broadcast Team Extended Activities

The EAST Class has been asked to help with the monitor by the office. The monitor has information for the month plus photographs of things going on at school. When you are assigned to the broadcast, you are asked to work on a task for the monitor for at least 30 minutes of your EAST time. Post and look for information and updates as comments of this post or contact Makiya in Mrs. Rutherford's class.

Computer Maintenance

Hello teams! Here are some suggestions on how to begin researching how to take care of the EAST Computers and help with the school laptops (COW).

1. Go to http://www.eastproject.org/

2. Login (see EFAC for login information)

3. Find Support and Tutorials (http://www.eastproject.org/SupportTutorials/)

Note: Be sure to click the Tutorials Tab not Help Tickets Tab

4. Click all to locate the search box (http://www.eastproject.org/SupportTutorials/Tutorials.aspx).

5. Then search for computer maintenance (http://www.eastproject.org/SupportTutorials/Tutorial.aspx?Id=100)

Using the KWPSL format, you are to locate and read about 3 things your team can do to take care of your assigned computers/area. The researcher and/or recorder should post the 3 things that your team would like to do. Be sure to use the anonymous profile to post your 3 things, first name only, and teacher.
