  1. Discussion 1.8.14

Trying to do: Train students about mapping options for projects.
Who benefit: Students, EAST, Classrooms that want to map, community clients- KEYP/PAAC,
Student benefit included thinking about where his family was from after working on the George Hines Family Tree Map.
Procedures followed: Students introduced to mapping upon showing interest; student to student training on arcgis, students map home, school, their house, etc. and/or begin adding to a training map. Students in EAST surveyed on types of software and/or projects they are interested in. Students are given a workshop on at least 1 of their top 3. The training maps are used in the workshops.

  2. So today we finished submitting our intent application. William proof read his map. Teona helped typed. Coran helped looked up the competition details. William tried to sign-in to Story Maps and couldn't. He did a work order to see how to get it done. He checked the forums first. We brainstormed a title and came up with King Training Maps.

One difficulty for William was to learn his EAST login. Teona was our helper and sometimes she worked on Garage Band and couldn't open a new tab. And quickly learned how.
