1. Create a draft of your poster board
on paper (eHow suggests creating sections – see the class examples if available).
2. Decide how large your title should be
(use the title template if available).
3. Print and cut your title for the
poster board (before attaching you may decide to add a construction paper
background or other decoration).
4. Write/Type needed paragraph/essay/etc. and then select, save, insert, print and/or
sketch needed pictures, graphs, charts, etc.
Note: Pictures can be
saved to the computer and inserted into Microsoft Word or Publisher to include
a caption (use the picture caption template if available).
5. As time allows, review tips on www.artskills.com (find poster tips on the
left menu) and www.ehow.com (search for How
to Make a Poster Board Presentation).
Consider what borders or decoration could enhance your poster and create
and/or print/cut.
6. Make a final decision about where all
items will be placed on your poster then
attach with glue/other.
7. Practice what you will say about your
poster when asked (refer to your assignment guidelines to draft your speech).
